Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Counsellor to join our team. The Counsellor will be responsible for guiding students in making informed academic and career choices, supporting them through the admission process, and assisting in awareness and outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of educational programs, and the ability to connect with a diverse group of students and stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Provide counselling and guidance to students regarding academic programs, career options, and skill development opportunities.

  2. Assist and guide prospective students through the admission process, providing accurate information about programs, eligibility, and application procedures.

  3. Review and evaluate admission applications to ensure timely and accurate submission of required documents.

  4. Conduct and coordinate career awareness sessions, workshops, and outreach activities in schools, colleges, and communities.

  5. Support students with information about scholarships, financial aid options, and OJT (On-the-Job Training) linked programs.

  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with academic institutions, community organizations, and industry partners to promote programs.

  7. Stay updated on changes in academic programs, admission requirements, and industry trends to provide relevant guidance to students.

  8. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective student recruitment and support strategies.

  9. Act as a bridge between students, parents, and the institution to ensure smooth communication and support throughout their journey.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong counselling and mentoring abilities, with a student-centric approach.

  • Knowledge of academic programs, career pathways, and industry requirements.

  • Ability to organize and conduct outreach/awareness activities.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in maintaining student records and reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Education, Psychology, Management, or a relevant field.

  • Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of experience in counselling/admissions/student support (education industry preferred).
